The Trans Advocacy Network held a town hall meeting for the transgender community on July 14 at the Long Island Gay And Lesbian Youth (LIGALY) center in Bay Shore. The event was co-sponsored by LIGALY, the East End Gay Organization (EEGO), FemmeFever, Long Island Fem Expression, Long Island Trans Experience (LITE), the National Center for Transgender Equality, and the New York Association for Gender Rights Advocacy (NYAGRA).
