An Iowa Caucus Blog

The Human Rights Campaign, the nation's largest LGBT lobby, was at Thursday night's Iowa caucuses and blogged their reports.

By: HUMAN RIGHTS CAMPAIGN | The Human Rights Campaign, the nation's largest LGBT lobby, was on the ground in Iowa in the days leading up to the presidential caucuses on Thursday night, January 3. Field organizer Charlie Mumford and Rachel Balick, who works in HRC's communications department, joined activists from One Iowa (one-iowa.org), the state's LGBT organization, while there.

Balick and Mumford blogged from Des Moines, and Marty Rouse, HRC's national field director, offered his perspective on why Iowa and New Hampshire, both states with recent gay rights wins, are illustrative of the gains the community has made in recent years.
