AIDS Increasingly Ensares Women

Experts warn that the disease’s spread to young females will affect global stability

“The face of HIV and AIDS is now the face of a woman, and a young woman at that,” said Terri Bartlett, vice president for Public Policy of Population Action International (PAI), during a live tele-conference held on Monday, July 12, from the fifteenth annual International AIDS Conference in Bangkok, Thailand.
